The dress looks beautiful on the model, but I hate this scratchy fabric. Also, it was too form-fitting around the tummy area, which made it not flattering. I will stick to my linen lantern dresses! My advice is to pass on this one if you are sensitive to scratchy fabrics, or if you have a large tummy.

I’ve been eyeing this black dress for months but already have so many of this style ( all from EF) that I don’t need yet another. What makes this one different though is the luscious fabric. I own a fuller skirt midi version of this French crepe dress from years ago, and it has held up beautifully. The fabric weight is heavier and falls perfectly with a gentle oval shape. It’s a maxi on my 5’5” frame. I got the XL and at 173 pounds it fits perfectly. Personally, I feel this dress runs a tad smaller than my other XLs. I’m a L or XL in this line and felt the large would have been a little tight in the shoulder/arm area. Wish there were pockets, but this dress is just my style as is and will get plenty of wear all year round.

Usually I love EF's dresses, but I returned this one. The fabric is heavy and not very comfortable. The fit is very odd. It is tight around the shoulders/sleeve and hangs very strangely around the middle.

Not for me, but not a bad dress.
The dress has a nice drape and I liked the length. I didn’t love the fabric, it’s harsh. I also wish EF would make their short sleeves a bit longer.

Liking this minimalist black dress
This is a style that works well for me. Great fabric for travel. I like the neckline and the oval shape that comes in at the waist and flatters my slight pear shape. I’m a size 10 in most brands, and the medium fits well. It’s a little longer than I would like but it still works for me at 5’6”. Looks good alone or with a jacket or wide belt.

Very comfortable and practical
Very comfortable and nice for any weather. I had hoped the sleeves were elbow length, but not quite. But I have found with this material I can wash and stretch out the sleeves a bit and they stay that way. Got my usual size and fit loosely, but not oversized. Perfect black summer dress. Add a jacket or sweater and it’s all year. No wrinkles. Lightweight.
