Chic, classic hat
Love the color and the raffia material, which seems substantial. The wire rim on the brim is one feature I always look for. If it had a tie, it would be perfect. I am thinking of adding one if not having a tie becomes a problem.

Generous sun hat!
Beautifully made! Very large brim for shading face,neck, shoulders from sun. I have a small head ( 55 cm). This inner hat circumference probably runs around 56. Wire around edge of hat provides more structure. It has a good weight to it due to large brim. Love it!

How to care for your Mar Y Sol wide brim hat!
I was gifted this gorgeous hat many years ago and everywhere I go people compliment “Great hat!!” I added a long leather lariat around the crown to prevent losing it in the wind when ship cruising or riding in my convertible. When it becomes worn and floppy, I gently saturate my hat spraying water on it in the bath tub and carefully clean the cotton interior hat band with hand soap. Then simply reshape letting it totally dry flat to get it stiff and back into shape. This is the beautiful nature of the raffia used to make this handmade hat from Madagascar . . . it will last many years to ENJOY ❤️

Hip, rumpled, too cool for school sun hat
Wonderfully wide brimmed, funky, rumpled look, lightweight raffia hat that will provide lots of sun protection on the beach. It would be better if it had fasteners to keep it on in the wind. Also, it is a little tall in the head portion but all in all, it looks very hip.

I am not only chic, but protected in this hat. I added a colorful silk scarf around the crown to tighten up the fit just a bit.

Not the same hat!
I bought a second hat as my daughter "stole" my original hat. The second hat did not have the dome top as referenced in my review, but more of a square top and did not fit my head. I thought I was ordering the same hat, as my review was under the item - but it is not the same hat - it runs smaller with a totally different shape and look. I am very disappointed that I have to return it.
